A NORTH Hampshire charity has expressed its delight after receiving a grant for more than £10,000 from a lottery.
The Basingstoke and Alton Cardiac Rehabilitation Charity - also known as Cardiac Rehab - has been given £11,730 by the Postcode Neighbourhood Trust, a charity funded solely by players of People's Postcode Lottery.
The grant will enable Cardiac Rehab, which offers support to patients across Hampshire and parts of Surrey, to meet the demand for their classes, in light of changes and increased costs to make the centre Covid-secure.
CEO Sarah Quarterman said: “Supervised, tailored exercise programmes are proven to increase fitness levels, reduce weight, waist size and blood pressure and improve wellbeing.
