NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD launched an investigation after an 18-year-old was shot and killed on a Brooklyn street late Monday night, officials said.
At approximately 11:32 on Monday, May 10, police responded to a 911 call of a person shot at Hegeman Avenue and Linwood Street in East New York.
Upon arrival, officers observed an 18-year-old Shaheem Bascom with a gunshot wound to the chest, police said.
EMS rushed Bascom to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests made at this time.
