18-month-old child missing from San Antonio
UPDATE 3/16/21 – New information came out in court records. According to an affidavit, Chairez was brought into SAPD headquarters and she would not say where James was. Police did tell media that she did say she “spoke about wanting to give him up for adoption” and that she spoke at length about her mental health issues and wanted the victim to “be in a better place.” It also said she spoke about not being ready to be a mother and that her son “deserves better” according to KHOU.
Original Story: James Avi Chairez, 18 months, has been missing since Jan. 4, 2021. He was last seen at Walgreen’s in Marbach Road in San Antonio, Texas with his mother, D’Lanny Reaneille Chairez, 20, on a security camera.
