Local Group Hard at Work to Refurbish Iconic Spencer Rocket Slide

Spencer, IA (KICD)– An iconic piece of playground equipment in Spencer will hopefully be making its return in the next several months as a local group comes together to get it refurbished.
Eric Johannsen has been doing a lot of work to make sure the “Rocket Slide” is able to return to the local park system for a new generation to enjoy for years to come.
The “Rocket Slide” has some strong ties in Iowa being made in Grinnel with very few still useable at this point being that some of them are 40 or more years old.
