Scores of farmers put under house arrest across GB Nagar to stop them from protesting at Chilla and other borders
NOIDA: Around 15 farmers from the Kisan Ekta Manch were put under house arrest on Friday, a day after they announced that they will march towards Delhi through Kalindi Kunj.
The office bearers of the Kisan Ekta Manch were first put under house arrest in different areas, including Ecotech I, Rabupura, Dankaur and Jewar. As soon as the other members of the outfit got to know about it, they gathered at the houses of those placed under house arrest and sat there in protest. Kishan Nagar, district president of the outfit, said around 15 leaders, including the national president, state president and the in-charge of the women’s cell, were detained.
