Public Health announced 11 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, and the 39th death related to the virus in New Brunswick.
The deceased was a resident of Pavillon Beau-Lieu, a special care home in Grand Falls, who was in their 70s.
The 11 new cases were spread out across the following health zones:
3 cases in Zone 1 (Moncton region)
1 in Zone 2 (Saint John)
1 in Zone 3 (Fredericton)
5 in Zone 4 (Edmundston)
1 in Zone 6 (Bathurst)
Just one of the 11 cases, discovered in the Moncton health zone, is under investigation. The rest are considered travel-related or contacts of previously confirmed cases.
Six new recoveries were announced today, bringing the active case number to 145. Six people are in New Brunswick hospitals with the virus, and two of those are in the ICU.
