Wood TV 8 reports that the dogs were stolen sometime either June 12 or 13. The breeder saw photos of the dogs for sale online and contacted local police, who reached out to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office.
The puppies were located Monday at a residence in the 900 block of Leonard Street near 8th Avenue in Tallmadge Township. All of the dogs had been microchipped. It was confirmed they were the ones stolen from Ohio.
According to the Ottawa County Sheriff's Office a 41-year-old woman and her 17-year-old daughter will likely face charges in connection to the theft. Police are working to figure out how the dogs were taken and transported to West Michigan.
