CENTRAL ISLIP, NY — A new luxury apartment complex is planned to take over the site of a former Central Islip Psychiatric Center, which has been closed since 1996.
The Belmont at Eastview will be a revitalization of the 83-acre property which also previously the home of the New York Institute of Technology's Central Islip campus. The historic location was originally home to the hospital over 130 years ago.
