(KMOX) - You'd be lucky to have just one medical expert on board in the case of an emergency birth on an airplane. But this woman was blessed to have a doctor and three NICU nurses on her flight to deliver her baby.
Lavinia “Lavi” Mounga unexpectedly delivered her baby, Raymond, on a Delta Airlines flight from Salt Lake City, Utah, to Honolulu on April 28. She was lucky to have North Kansas City Hospital NICU Nurses Lani Bamfield, Amanda Beeding and Mimi Ho, and Hawaii Pacific Health Family Medicine Physician Dr. Dale Glenn on the flight.
