Detailed description is 油塘站（Yau Tong Station）是港鐵觀塘綫及將軍澳綫的一個跨月台轉車站，也是將軍澳綫唯一一個位於九龍區的車站。本站位於香港九龍東觀塘區油塘茶果嶺道旁，由日本熊谷組株式會社承建並於2002年8月4日啟用。車站以黃色為主要色調。油塘站採用明山爆破方式建造，原址為普照書院舊址以南的一處山坡及油塘灣填海地。車站設計基於地勢，油塘站大堂與油麗邨和鄰近的油塘里處於同一水平，另一端出口則連接大本型商場。大堂以下分别為兩層月台：U2層(上層月台)和U1層(下層月台)，U1層則與茶果嶺道處同一水平，兩層月台均被混凝土圍封，使月台裏面的人以為身處地底。樓層油塘站共有五層，出入口、大堂及商店位於U4層，並設有平台。大堂之上為不對外開放的機房和職員專用区域，大堂之下是中間的U2層，以及最底的U1層，兩層均是月台。而在車站天台少於一半樓面，則有一條由房屋署委托前地鐵公司所興建的預留購物廊，原本是用作商場用途及給市民來往鯉魚門廣場、大本型及油麗商場，但此預留空間一直空置了12年。直到2014年中房屋署才開放作大本型購物街，租戶為長江和記實業集團旗下的SU-PA-DE-PA的超級市場，並於2014年12月5日開業。主要售賣各種家庭用品、食品、電器、飾品及玩具等，與大本型分店類似。大堂大堂內有不同類型的商店供乘客購物，例如有便利店、麵包糕餅店、涼茶專賣店等，以及不少自助服務設施，包括自動櫃員機、自動售賣機和自動照相機。客務中心位於大堂中央，升降機旁，旁邊設有香港郵政郵箱方便乘客在車站內投寄郵件。月台油塘站有4個月台，位於U1層及U2層，所有月台均設有月台幕門。其中U1層為1號月台（觀塘綫往調景嶺方向）及4號月台（將軍澳綫往北角方向），並位於同一島式月台內，方便從東九龍前往香港島的乘客，直接由觀塘綫月台步行至將軍澳綫月台，轉乘前往北角的列車，再經東區海底隧道前往香港島。相較將軍澳綫通車前，觀塘綫由藍田前往鰂魚涌多3至4分鐘。
