Detailed description is Автодром Поль Рикар использовался для гонок «Формулы-1» Гран-при Франции в сезонах - годов, гонок серии MotoGP в 1988—1999 годах. На данный момент широко используется, как тестовая трасса командами «Формулы-1».Трасса построена в 1970 году недалеко от деревни Ле-Кастелле . Строительство автодрома финансировал крупнейший французский производитель напитков Поль Рикар, в честь его и назван автодром. Также упоминается, как трасса Circuit du Castellet по месту расположения.В 1999 году приобретена Берни Экклстоуном . Автодром модернизирован для имитации условий различных трасс «Формулы-1» и носит также название Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track.5 декабря 2016 года на пресс-конференции в штаб-квартире Автомобильного клуба Франции было официально объявлено, что трасса вернется в календарь «Формулы-1» в 2018 году.КонфигурацияПоль Рикар — автодром «нового формата» — достаточно короткий автодром по меркам 70х годов, отвечающий жёстким требованиям безопасности.
