Το καλοκαίρι του 2012 το θέατρο Χυτήριο αναλαμβάνει η ηθοποιός Βάσια Παναγοπούλου με όραμα να δημιουργηθεί στην καρδιά της Αθήνας ένα σημείο πολιτισμού φιλικό σε νέους καλλιτέχνες και για όλες τις τέχνες..
Οι εγκαταστάσεις του ΧΥΤΗΡΙΟΥ περιλαμβάνουν ΘΕΑΤΡΟ (150 θέσεων), Cafe/Bar (στο οποίο πραγματοποιούνται εκθέσεις ζωγραφικής και φωτογραφίας, θεατρικές παραστάσεις, μουσικές συναντήσεις) και έναν υπέροχο κήπο ίσως τον μοναδικό στο Γκάζι, όπου μπορεί ο επισκέπτης να απολαύσει τον καφέ του ή το ποτό του παρακολουθώντας θέατρο ή ακούγοντας μουσική..
