Detailed description is Young Studios is a gallery and studio owned and operated by Adam Young. If you are interested in purchasing any artwork, contact [email protected] I am a graduate of Mount Allison University's Fine Arts Program where I focused on painting and drawing. After graduating in 2003, I freelanced as an illustrator for newspapers across Canada. I graduated from Crandall University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Education and have been teaching art for the past 8 years. I am now teaching and painting on the beautiful and scenic Fogo Island Newfoundland with my two little girls, wife and chihuahua.. The inspiration for my work is rooted deeply within Newfoundland's sublime landscape. I begin my work with the ideas of movement, light and texture with strong lines and vibrant colors as vital elements within the piece. The fishing shed is a prominent fixture in most of my work and is a structure that I have become quite fond of. To me it embodies a strength and perseverance matched only by the people who call this place home. My work is usually never an exact replica of a particular time or place, rather a mix of times and places, set in a dream with a nod to the Newfoundlander's sense of humour.
