Detailed description is Poverty Ends Where Love Begins www.YoungAmericaMinistries.com For over 12 years, Young America Ministries has been consistently sharing the love of Jesus with families living in poverty - by building positive relationships, holding weekly Bible clubs, Bible studies and teen nights. We work with youth living in trailer parks, hotels, apartment complexes and inner-city projects. We are committed to stopping the cycle of poverty, crime, abuse and neglect in the lives of children living in our "own backyards".. . We feed and minister to forty-five children (ages 3-12) and sixty teens (ages 13-18) each week. We touch the lives and share the Gospel with more than three hundred different youth over a six month period. Our ministry provides a safe place for outside play (playground, basketball, soccer, softball, football, and other fun games) and a safe place for inside play (crafts, video games, air hockey, Pre-K room, dolls, legos, books and more). We have special upbeat worship time and Bible lessons followed by small groups. We feed the youth each week and send them home with snack-packs to help with hunger. Our staff develop relationships to mentor and disciple the families we serve. Over twelve years of long term, consistent, discipleship!
