Sadhna Bhatnagar".
Yavanika was founded in 1967 by a few theatre loving youngsters with the blessings of the then Information & Broadcasting Minister, Mr.
K.K.
Shah.
The first show was a hilarious comedy 'Ret ki Diwar' staged in Sapru house, the most popular hall in those times.
It encouraged the group and for next 20 years, enthralled the theatre lovers of Delhi and other cities..

Yavanika has produced plays of every genre- comedy, serious, musical, experimental, absurd, historical and mythological.
‘Kankaal’ was the first horror play to be staged in Delhi.
Press and public have been full of praise for the group and its dedication to theatre..
This group is a genuine amateur theatre group as it never got any funding from the government.
Actors are from different professions, lecturer, journalists, housewives, students, businessmen and lawyers.
During this period the group performed in cities like, Jaipur, Allahabad, Lucknow, etc.
