Detailed description is You see a worthless old pallet. I see a shelf, coffee table, wine rack, planter box, so on and so forth. You get the idea. Since I took my first woods class during the 9th grade in 1998 I have loved wood working. After high school I left the hobby of mine and went out to conquer the world. Over the years I have done some projects here and there, but the cost a raw materials such as wood was too outrageous. About a year ago (2013) my wife introduced me to some projects that were built strictly out of up-cycle old pallets. It was at this point that my imagination took off. All of the pallets that I have gotten are primarily free so I have less than 5% overhead into any project. In saying this I pass the savings onto the customer. It’s not that I don’t take pride in my work, but I just don’t see the point in over charging someone. I do this strictly as hobby and it’s cheaper than therapy. If I make a few bucks here and there it will go right back into my hobby for buying stain, lacquer, wood glue, nails, etc. The beauty of building with up-cycled pallets is that no two pallets are alike, so that means some items will be similar with one item having its own characterizes not matched to the other. A majority of the things I will build will be as low as $5 with nothing higher than $50.
