Both Carl and Esther have Diplomas from Centralia College of Agricultural Technology.
Carl in Agricultural Business Management and Esther in Food Service Management.
While Carl stayed in agriculture, Esther took time off and later became an Income Tax Specialist with now 13 years experience.
During this time both have gardened organically and preserved harvests for winter.
Four years ago Carl and Esther became partners and saw the potential for the wild fruit harvest in the Thunder Bay area.
This includes saskatoons, choke cherries and highbush cranberries from farm hedgerows were we have permission to glean..

We harvest rhubarb from people who do not use their patch and in doing so, we rehabilitate the plants.

I had the pleasure of being the recipient of some tart grapes that made the most amazing jam..

We have access to an organic apple orchard where the crab apples were too numerous for us to pick.
(we ran out of storage space) Pesticides are not used on this orchard..
