Detailed description is This is a 501(c) 3 non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to helping widowed people overcome grief after the devastating loss of their spouse and teach them how to rebuild their shattered lives so they can learn to live and laugh again. The Widowed Persons Association of California is a 501(c)3 non-profit, non-denominational community service organization dedicated to helping widowed people overcome grief after the devastating loss of their spouse by helping them rebuild their shattered lives and teach them to learn to live and laugh again.. . All the people who work for our organization are widows and widowers. Volunteers have made WPAC a strong, vibrant organization. We know what it means to lose a spouse and how long and how hard the road seems to a new and independent life.. . The Sacramento Office (916) 972-9722 is open from 10 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday, except holidays. Volunteers are available to answer your questions.. . Sunday Support is held EVERY Sunday from 3-5 PM at the Office Meeting Room. Select the Grief Recovery Tab on our website www.sacwidowed.org to learn more about our Grief Recovery Program. All widows and widowers are welcome. Doors open at 2:30 PM.. . NOTE RECOVERY WORKSHOP: The next Recovery from Grief Six-Week Workshop will begin Thursday, April 6th, 2017 from 6:00PM-8:00 PM, and continues for 6 weeks through May 18, 2017. The workshop consists of 6 sessions. They include: Overcoming Grief, Anxiety/Stress, Changing Relationships and Moving On with Your Life. The fifth week is a recap/evaluation of the first four weeks. The final session is a potluck/order-in lunch/dinner. You do not need to be a member to attend. The sessions are free and are presented by volunteer facilitators who are trained in grief recovery.
