The population was 1,587 at the 2010 census.GeographyAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 16.3 square miles (42.2 km²), all of it land.
There is one small stream that flows through the area.It is called Pike Run.
Most of the land is either forested or developed through agriculture.
Most of the farms are shut down dairy farms that have converted to beef cattle farms.
There is only one operating dairy farm left in the townships.
