West Michigan Elite Pom and Dance is the first and only dance studio in West Michigan to offer team based instruction. WMEPD is a new up and coming dance studio in the Allendale area. We pride ourselves on a dance team structure. All students who dance with us are a part of a team, not just a class. Our students grow through training in Ballet, Pom, Jazz, Kick, and Hip-Hop, while also having the opportunity to explore theater dance such as lyrical, contemporary, tap, and musical theater. Students will have the opportunity to dance at local events such as fairs, parades, and other community events, along with the Spring Showcase at the end of their season. . . Our students learn instruction on technique geared toward each dancers skill level. We pride ourselves at working one-on-one with each dancer, as well as with the team as a whole. We are dedicated in providing each dancer the knowledge and technique needed to execute the perfect performance.. . West Michigan Elite Pom and Dance team members have the opportunity to learn 3 different styles during their class time. They will learn the basics and technique for each dance style, while learning up to 3 dance routines for the end of the recital. The number of routines learned is based on the teams ability, skill level, and age. Our students not just learn dance routines, they also learn team work, sportsmanship, athleticism, determination, time management, and strength.. . Our recreational teams are a season long commitment. Teams work on their skills and technique at the beginning of their season, then learn and perfect routines for the remainder of their season. Our dance season runs from September - May with our Spring Showcase in May.. . West Michigan Elite Pom and Dance is a USASF certified gym. Our competition teams perform at USASF sanctioned events along with other dance competitions. All dancers on the competition team are USASF members.
