Music is our passion and we focus on making a lasting impression to your guitar playing in a comfortable, inspiring and friendly setting.. Guitarists Ivas John and Zach Priester are truly two birds of a musical feather. When their paths crossed a few years ago, it was obvious then that their deep appreciation and commitment to the guitar would be the basis for a long-standing friendship, many discussions about music & life, and of course some fine collaborations playing guitar. From there, things began to take a very natural course. After building up a repertoire of original songs, jazz and blues standards, folk and ragtime classics and instrumental compositions, they began performing together on a full time basis in cities across the region and sharing their creative chemistry with the world at large.. . In 2013, the two started talking about doing something more with their extensive performing and 20+ year combined teaching experience. The vision was to create a place for guitar players to come hang out, learn valuable skills and be inspired by teachers who not only understand the instrument and possess the wisdom to pass along, but would do so with no ego, no judgement and tailor the lessons to each individual student to bring out strengths regardless of skill level. A few months later, West Bank Guitar Studio opened its doors.
