The Way of the Cross Church of Christ (Disciple of Christ) Church, as it was called then, was started in the home of the late Dec.

and Mother Nora Belle Becton, Sr.

Hattie Smith, the dates of her pastorate is not known.
Pastor Smith was known for having people to bring water and she would pray for it, and many miracle and healings took place.
After the death of Pastor Smith, the Church chose the late Rev.
Chanie Dixon to be the Pastor.
Pastor Dixon was a small woman with a lot of fire of the Holy Ghost.
After Dixon left the Church they chose the late Rev.
Elmer Moore.
Pastor Moore was a quite man that believed God.
After the death of Pastor Moore, the church chose the Rev.
Richard Artis as pastor.
Pastor Artis is a man full of Joy and Faith, he served the church for 5 years.

Marcus O.
Becton.
Pastor Becton is the grandson of the founder.
In May of 1990, Pastor Becton joined in Holy Matramony with Wendy E.
Colvin, after about 2 years she became the Co-Pastor of the Church.
The Bectons are the only Husband-Wife team that this Church has ever had.
As the ministry grew Pastor Becton felt lead to change the name of the church to Way of the Cross Church Ministries.
In April of 2003, God called this Church to a level higher.
Pastor Marcus & Co-Pastor Wendy was Ordained as Apostle Marcus Becton and Prophetess Wendy Becton, which complete the five-fold ministry for this Church.
