In our traditional, welcoming dance studio setting, students will develop discipline, good posture, grace, respect for others, high self-esteem, gain a love and appreciation for the arts AND develop long lasting friendships with their peers. . . At WDA, our primary focus is on the dancer’s growth, culminating in an end of season Spring Dance Concert for ages 6-High School and our Spring Grande Finale for ages 3-5. Students looking for more performance or competition opportunities may audition for our Company, WATERFORD DANCE ENSEMBLE! We have a Mini’s/Petites Company, a Junior Company, and a Senior Company. There are 2 program options available for our regular class season:. 9-Month Program: Runs September through first week in June . Beginner students will develop a love for dance and obtain a solid foundation of technique to build upon. Students with experience will be challenged on a weekly basis, building on the strong technique they have established, while nurturing their passion for the art. All students in our 9-month program have the option of participating in an annual performance. . . Summer Program: . Our Summer program is quite different from the regular school year. We offer 1-day workshops and an 8-week dance program for all levels of experience. Vacationing? Pricing is flexible! We offer a “Pay-per-Day” option in the Summer, so you ALWAYS get what you pay for!. . Whether a student is taking class just for fun, or has aspirations of becoming a professional dancer or pursuing a teaching career, our instructors focus on helping each and every student become a well-rounded, strong dancer.. .
