On a daily basis, students are actively involved in the 4 Cs of 21st century learning– Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking.
As a strong proponent of the integration of 21st century skills with STEM, we recognize the importance of merging these skills into learning while students apply core content and STEM in authentic ways using inquiry, design process, and project-based learning.
A balanced instructional program supports student growth through the combination of inspiration, mentoring, modeling, scaffolding and differentiated learning while using authentic and varied assessment, conferencing and constructive feedback..

The W-FL P-TECH, is a new model for high school education that includes college-level, credit-bearing coursework in the curriculum and allows students to choose their own “pathways” to high-skill jobs.
A consortium of W-FL BOCES, its component school districts, Finger Lakes Community College and regional business partners was one of the winners in a statewide competition in 2014 for funding a P-TECH program that targets students who might not otherwise consider a college pathway, using a variety of demographic, academic and social indicators.
The school will launch in September 2015 school year with 50 ninth-grade students from the component school districts.
P-TECH seeks to redefine secondary education with a curriculum that centers on project-based learning that will focus on skills in three career clusters — Information Technology, Instrumentation and Control Technologies, and Mechanical Technologies.
Through the program, selected students can earn one of three different associate’s degrees at no cost to their families and will be considered for jobs with participating companies when they graduate.
