Detailed description is Providing community victim services to "Survivors of Homicide Victims” and others in the community experiencing the aftermath of traumatic death.
Easter Sunday, April 22, 1984, Anita Cantrell, along with her brother and sister, experienced the trauma of becoming "Survivors of Homicide Victims." That day, forever changed their lives when their father was brutally murdered on the water's edge of the bank of Ft.
Gibson Lake on Wahoo Bay in the Sequoyah Bay Park.
The years that followed, which should have been fun years with their father loving his grandchildren while gracefully aging, became years of being exposed to the trauma of their father's brutal death, district attorneys, courtrooms, and media.

Through her personal experience, spiritual journey and the strength of her father's love, Anita has come full circle in the traumatic event of homicide and its aftermath.
She has now set out on an inspirational journey to improve the mental, emotional and spiritual care of "Survivors of Homicide Victims" in the aftermath of their traumatic experiences.

On August 17, 2007, Anita Cantrell, along with others in the community, incorporated this non-profit organization "V.O.I.C.E.S.
Victim Services" to provide "Surivors of Homicide Victims" with the mental, emotional and spiritual care services needed to reconstruct their lives in the aftermath of their traumatic experience.
On March 5, 2010 the Internal Revenue Services passed the determination of this organization as a 501(c)(3) Tax Exempt Public Charity.
