Working with the Military Health System, Veterans Health Administration and other Centers of Excellence, the VCE leads efforts to enhance collaboration between the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in order to improve vision health, optimize readiness, and enhance quality of life for Service members and Veterans through initiatives focused on the prevention, diagnosis, mitigation, treatment and rehabilitation of disorders of the visual system.
