Established in December 1991 with a 12 hectare brewery in Thoi An Ward District 12 HCMC, over 17 years of development, it now owns a group of 4 breweries located in District 12, HCMC (VBL HM); in Tien Giang province (VBLTG); in Da Nang City (VBLDN); in Quang Nam province (VBLQN) and a sister distribution company: Vietnam Beers & Beverages Ltd., (VBB). . . The capacity of the brewery in District 12 at the first days was 50 million liters only. Now all together, the total capacity has reached 470 million liters/year, becoming the biggest brewery within APBL Group using modern equipment and applying the most advanced technology in the region. Its headcount keeps increasing to make it now 1,452 persons (as at 30 June 10) of the whole group from the early some hundreds of people. . . Besides the mainstream brands like BGI, Larue, Bivina, Larger; VBL Group is licensed to produce and distribute international premium brands of Heineken, Tiger, Foster’s.
