All those who served aboard the USS Neches AO47, any time between her commissioning in 1942 and decommissioning in 1970 are welcome to join the Association. Membership dues are $15 per year. We have 125 active members and a master roster of 450+ names of shipmates with their rank/years on ship.. . We host a 3-4 day reunion across the US each year. A special memorial service is held with the traditional "tossing of the wreath" and a program honoring those who have passed away since the last reunion. It is always a very meaningful part of the reunion. The association held its 20th reunion in Sept. 2015 in Rochester, New York.
