The purpose of this chapter shall be to advance the education of individuals with exceptionalities and to promote related educational, scientific, and charitable purposes. Specifically, the chapter intends to assist and provide support to TENNESSEE CEC in all its efforts on behalf of persons with exceptionalities, and to participate in all appropriate governance activities of TENNESSEE CEC subject to the general supervision and control of TENNESSEE CEC.. UM SCEC is comprised of students in the fields of Special Education, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education in colleges and universities worldwide. Our goals include the following:. (a) Providing support for services agencies working with individuals with exceptionalities. (b) Raise community awareness of issues related to individuals with exceptionalities. (c) Offer educational activities, workshops, and presentations for fellow students in the area of Special Education.
