Detailed description is If you have any questions email Hannah Smith at hannahjo@live.unc.edu! Hunger Lunch is the primary venture for Nourish International's UNC chapter.
It was started in 2003 and has grown enormously since then.
All the money raised from Hunger Lunch goes to help fund Nourish's global projects every summer.
Our previous catering partner was TROSA, a long-term, residential substance abuse recovery program in Durham.
(Check them out here http://www.trosainc.org/program/index.htm ) But we now partner with a local Indian restaurant called Vimala's Curryblossom Cafe! Hunger Lunch helps students by providing a healthy lunch at a low cost, it helps eradicate social injustices world-wide with funding Nourish's international projects, and it also helps in our local community by supporting local restaurants.
