A União de Mocidade Presbiteriana de Areias (UMP-Areias) é uma sociedade interna da Igreja Presbiteriana de Areias – Recife, que foi fundada em 1946,e desde então tem realizado programações voltadas para o público jovem de 18 a 35 anos.

Temos por finalidade cuidar dos jovens da igreja de Areias, promovendo um ambiente no qual eles se sintam inseridos de forma participativa e integral.
Todas as áreas da vida serão contempladas em nossas programações, lembrando que nossos jovens não vivem somente no ambiente eclesiástico, mas tem seu dia a dia em casa, na faculdade, no trabalho.
Seus relacionamentos incluem família, amigos, colegas de trabalho e publico em geral.
Assim sendo o cuidado e a programação da UMPAreias irá conter assuntos e atividades que contemplem todas essas áreas.
Nossos objetivos são: a) Promover a plena integração dos membros da Igreja; b) Incentivar o cultivo sadio das atividades espirituais, evangelísticas, missionárias, culturais, artísticas, sociais e desportivas; c) Cooperar com a Igreja, como parte integrante dela, em todas as suas atividades; d) Servir a Deus e ao próximo; e) Promover uma salutar convivência com todos os outros departamentos e organizações da IPB e também com denominações evangélicas fraternas; f) Realizar atividades de evangelização e integração de jovens; g) Estimular a participação dos jovens nos cultos e escola dominical; h) Estimular cada jovem a conhecer e desenvolver seus ministérios na Igreja.
Nossa visão é: Jovens espiritualmente fortalecidos, orientados para a piedade, frutificação e amadurecimento, comprometidos com o Senhor no cumprimento dos mandados espiritual, social e cultural, responsáveis na prática da missão e visão da IPB.
Nossa missão não poderia ser outra se não Glorificar a Deus agregando jovens para o cumprimento fiel da missão da IPB e dos mandados da Aliança da criação e redenção.
