Detailed description is Our Environmental Club meets Tuesdays 4-5pm in the Tower- come check us out! We also host events, go to conferences, and advocate for local sustainability! The Environmental Club works to create ways to maintain sustainability on campus, throughout the community and across the globe.
UMEC promotes sustainability on campus by educational and advocacy events as well as engaging with students and creating sustainability projects.
Activities UMEC participates in includes campaigning for environmental issues,creating events for speakers and environmental films, taking field trips to various places to learn about the environment and sustainability, sustainability or environmental workshops, and participating in "boots on the ground" type projects such as helping out in the garden, cleaning up the swamp or the creek, or helping out with other sustainability projects..
