I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about the aspirations of guitar students at UH Manoa as well as my own for the department of music.
It is my dream to create a series of concerts, lectures, and master-classes available to Hawaii’s music community that will enable students to develop a successful musical study and career.
This series of concerts will be a celebration of guitar music and musicians from Hawaii and around the world, as well as fund-raisers for the UH music program.
In Hawaii, classical guitar performances and master-classes are few and far in between.
The Guitar Concert and Lecture series at UH offers professional guidance from, and exceptional performances by, internationally-renown guitarists.
By providing the best musical experiences, we are ensuring a new generation of inspiring musicians here in Hawaii..
