Detailed description is 分水駅（ぶんすいえき）は、新潟県燕市分水桜町一丁目にある、東日本旅客鉄道（JR東日本）越後線の駅。歴史 1912年（大正元年）12月28日 - 越後鉄道の吉田駅から当駅までの開通とともに現在燕市良寛史料館が経つ位置に仮駅として新設される。当時の駅名は地蔵堂駅（じぞうどうえき）であった。「地蔵堂」は所在地の当時の町名。 1913年（大正2年）4月20日 - 越後鉄道の出雲崎駅から当駅までが開通し、同時に現在地に移設となる。 1927年（昭和2年）10月1日 - 越後鉄道が国有化。国鉄越後線所属となる。 1976年（昭和51年）9月1日 - 貨物扱い廃止。 1983年（昭和58年）4月1日 - 分水駅（ぶんすいえき）に改称。「分水」は当時の所在地町名。 1987年（昭和62年）4月1日 - 国鉄分割民営化によりJR東日本に移管。 2000年（平成12年）3月10日 - 駅舎を改築。駅構造相対式ホーム2面2線を有する地上駅。両ホームは地下通路で連絡している。燕三条駅が管理する業務委託駅で、駅業務はジェイアール新潟ビジネスが受託している。駅舎内にはみどりの窓口（営業時間:7:00～17:30・途中で営業を休止する時間帯あり）、自動券売機（タッチパネル式1台）の他、待合室、トイレなどがある。
