Detailed description is La 31ème édition du Triathlon de Nyon se déroulera les 10 et 11 août 2019 et accueillera différentes épreuves du Championnat suisse et populaires Le Triathlon de Nyon est né autour d'une table un soir de novembre 1988. Deux amis se lancent le pari d'organiser un triathlon dans les 8 mois qui suivent. C'est ainsi que le 1er Triathlon de Nyon a vu le jour le 27 août 1989. Pour sa 1ère édition, la manifestation avait alors accueilli 300 concurrents.. . Au fil des années, la capacité du parc vélo a dû être adaptée afin qu'il puisse accueillir de 254 athlètes en 1989 jusqu'à 2'000 participants lors de l'édition 2014 ! Cela est dû à une demande de plus en plus forte.. . Les parcours vélo et pédestre ont subi des modifications durant les premières années. L’objectif initial était de répondre aux exigences de plus en plus strictes en matière de sécurité auxquelles nous ne voulions pas nous soustraire, mais aussi pour offrir de nouveaux parcours plus sélectifs et variés aux concurrents.. . En plus de 25 ans, l’adaptation et l'évolution des infrastructures de la manifestation ont été très importantes. Le but a toujours été d’offrir des conditions optimales aux nombreux spectateurs ainsi qu’aux coureurs, notamment en ce qui concerne l'accueil, la subsistance, les ravitaillements, les animations et la signalisation. Aujourd’hui, ce sont plus de 500 bénévoles qui s'activent pour le montage et le démontage des infrastructures mais aussi durant toute la manifestation afin d'assurer la réussite de l'évènement.. . Le Comité d'organisation se constitue de 10 responsables œuvrant à l’année et d’une vingtaine de personnes supplémentaires assurant le bon déroulement des préparatifs. Il a vu se succéder 4 présidents à sa tête sans que la manifestation n'en soit prétéritée.. . En 2011, Vanni Vogel a décidé de cesser ses activités en tant que président au comité d’organisation. La responsabilité de l’organisation a été reprise par Yannick Grivel, Président du Cercle des Nageurs de Nyon (CNN).. . En janvier 2014, une association à part entière a été créée et le Triathlon de Nyon a désormais ses propres statuts, fonctionne de manière autonome et ne dépend plus de l'Association des sociétés sportives nyonnaises ou du Cercle des Nageurs de Nyon.. . Lors de l'édition 2015, le Triathlon de Nyon est devenu le plus grand triathlon de Suisse avec quasiment 2'300 participants.. . En 2016, en parallèle aux courses populaires, le 13ème Championnat du Monde Universitaire FISU a été organisé. Il s'agissait du premier championnat du monde, tous sports confondus, organisé à Nyon.
