As a reverse order Sprint Distance Triathlon, this fun race begins with a 3.1 mile run that is on a mix of dirt, gravel and pavement surfaces.
Racers will transition to an 8 mile mountain bike course that slips through a wide variety of hardwoods, cedar and pine groves.
You will get to see numerous airplanes, rockets and space equipment as you wind though a course that looks flat but will fool you with climbs and twists, creek crossings and jumps.
Finally racers will be able to cool off with a 200 meter swim in the Aviation Challege swim area.
Never deeper than 4 feet, tired swimmers have the ability to stand up and catch their breath if needed.
This swim venue is considered beginner friendly.
