We have one Weightlifting Guru (Andy Tysz), one certified USAW Senior Coach(Dave Picardy), 2 Club Coaches (Derek Goff, Max Coffin) and 3 certified USAW Sports Performance Coaches on staff. We train athletes to become better Olympic Weightlifters, as well as make Crossfitters, football players, wrestlers, basketball players, rugby players track athletes and any athlete for that matter, more explosive and powerful in their respective sport.. . Unfortunately, while the need for the lifts’ incorporation into athletic training is great, qualified instruction is extremely limited. Weightlifting refers to the Olympic sport which includes the “snatch” and the “clean and jerk”. Olympic weightlifting develops strength (especially from the hips), speed, and power like no other training modality. The benefit of Olympic weightlifting doesn’t end with strength, speed, power, and flexibility. The snatch and clean and jerk both develop coordination, agility, accuracy, and balance.. .
