She went on to receive her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Missouri Saint Louis College of Optometry in 2001.
She has served as Secretary for the Beta Sigma Kappa National Optometric Honor Society as well as Hawaii Optometric Association.
In 2003 Dr.
Schmalle was named Wal-Mart Optical (district #282) "Doctor of the Year." During her free time, Dr.
Schmalle enjoys spending time with her family as well as reading..
