The current population is approximately 500 people. Hot Springs was named for the mineral waters that flow in the area. We are generally known around the world as Camas Hot Springs. Some believe these waters have medicinal value comparable with Baden-Baden in Germany. There are numerous places around town to soak in our fabulous healing waters.. . Our Town Council, consisting of the Mayor and 4 Council persons, meets on the first Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. The Town Hall Office hours are Monday through Wednesday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (closed noon hour), Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (closed noon hour). City court is held the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 11 am until 3 pm, except holidays. The library located 1 block east is open Tuesday through Thursday from noon until 5pm; and Friday and Saturday noon until 4pm.. . We are located 30 miles from Flathead Lake, 65 miles from Kalispell, and approximately 75 miles from Missoula in Western Montana.
