We offer the opportunity for men and women that are incarcerated to take control of the financial aspects of their lives in preparation for release and return to society. . . One of our new projects focuses on assisting inmates with marketing handmade goods online. Inmates throughout the US create crochet items, leather goods, jewelry and original artwork. These items are sold on the open market via EBay, Esty (and soon Facebook) and at local and regional community fairs and events. The proceeds of the sales are sent back to the inmates, which we call “partners”. Inmates have four (4) options for receiving their proceeds: 1) Funds sent directly to their prison accounts, 2) Funds sent directly to family members, 3) Funds are maintained in an account for use to access other services offered by Time Served, 4) Funds are placed in an interest earning savings account and distributed to the partner upon release.
