Since moving here, she has worked a variety of different jobs, bought a house, and made this city home. In 1996, she started making masks and other leather items under the name Tiger Torre Art. Tiger is now a full time freelance artist and mask maker, as well as a landlord. Tiger Torre Art has a booth at the MD Renaissance Faire, and vends at conventions and shows up and down the East Coast.. . Tiger takes great pride in the fact that each leather mask she makes is a unique piece of durable, wearable art. The masks are hand-molded using a technique that has been handed down over the centuries. Each piece is signed and dated with the year of production, and they make beautiful wall pieces when not being worn. Tiger takes inspiration from many cultures, myths and legends, but tries to put her own twist on the final product. Tiger does custom fitting, and can also work under glasses, for those who cannot wear contacts. Even though the regular stock pieces are quite comfortable for most faces, sometimes a mask can be made more so with custom molding.
