Come join our dances, we welcome all ages and no experience necessary..

7:30 pm - 8:00 pm - lesson .
8:00 pm - 11:00 pm - dance .
Admission $12, Students $7, CDSS Members $1 off Contra dancing is fun! .

It is danced to live music which can have an array of instruments depending on the band.
There is a caller who calls the dance by doing a "walk through" before each dance.
Once you get the steps to the dance, the pattern just repeats itself.
Easy! .

Every week, there is a 30 minute lesson before the dance evening begins to go over basic steps for beginners.
That is the best time to get an overall view.
But, the caller will also do a quick 5 minute review before each dance so you can still learn them if you missed the lesson.
If you can walk, you can dance! .

People in the dance community are very nice and will help you if you do get lost or jumbled.
Just remember to trust them when they lead you towards the right direction.
