Detailed description is The WarZone is Botswana's 1st Battle Rap league! the 1st episode will take place on 7th September 2013 and we plan on having regular shows until forever!.

WRITTEN ASSAULT RAP.
The W in warzone stands for WRITTEN.
In this format of battle rap there are no beats,it is A Capella, and rappers are given a minimum of 2 weeks to prepare material for an opponent.
Rappers CAN freestyle at certain points but in general Freestyling a whole battle rap ends in defeat!.

REBUTTAL.
The best place for freestyles.
Since this format is centred on being well prepared.
Responding to a line from an opponent during battle is one of the biggest point scorers.
Rappers do this by either preparing short scripts predicting an opponents lines or by freestyling an impromptu response mid battle! Only the HEAVIEST MCs have mastered that artform..

ROUNDS AND TIME.
There are 2 types of battles in the WarZone: Exhibition matches and League Matches.
In League matches there are strictly 2 minutes to perform in each of 3 rounds.
Exhibition matches have more flexible rules agreed on by the opponents..

EXTRA TIME.
Under strict time conditions rappers will be given extra seconds at the end of a round for technical difficulties and wild crowd reactions etc..

JUDGES.
The warzone picks an odd number, usually 3, of capable judges to make a decision in all the battles.
Exhibition matches have the same rules.
The crowd has not decided a single warzone battle to date but we cant stop the streets from talking!.

LANGUAGE .
Opponents will agree to speak in the same "general" language.
There are no language rules in the Warzone for swearing and insults, anything goes.
