From then on, the fledgling group's reputation has broadened, beckoning to individuals who not only wish to improve their talents through workshops held in the organization and through active performances in and out of the university, but share them with fellow musicians as well. Now, the 18-year-old organization boasts talented music enthusiasts, some of which have already become successful UP graduates. . . UPMC has continuously demonstrated its belief in musical diversity in its 18th year of performance and talent enhancement. The UP Music Circle or UPMC is a university-based organization in UP Diliman which serves as a venue for music enthusiasts. UPMC promotes the appreciation of various musical forms and genres, the enhancement of musical talents and skills, and the use of music as a means for personal affirmation and a ground for social interaction. . . We have been doing dorm tours around the UPD campus, performing at gigs, functions and concerts, giving musical clinics, and offering “harana” services (during Valentine’s). . .
