Detailed description is The Student Association at Durham College & UOIT is the official student union representing and serving the interests of more than 20,000 full-time student The Student Association at Durham College & UOIT is the official student union representing and serving the interests of more than 20,000 full-time students at Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. . . We are a non-profit independent, democratic organization governed by a 12-student Board of Directors, representing all Durham College schools and UOIT faculties, and a six-student Executive Team.. . The SA advocates on behalf of our members to college and university administration, the community, and various levels of government. We offer a diverse range of inclusive services, support, activities and events, including the student health and dental plan, CampusFest and WinterFest, the Campus Food Bank, academic petitions and appeals, E.P. Taylor’s Pub & Restaurant, and more. We also support and sponsor all official clubs and societies on campus.. . The SA encourages students to get involved. We offer opportunities for volunteering with Riot Radio and Outreach Services, and part-time employment in most of our departments. You can also get involved by helping us shape the SA.
