Almost a century and half ago, a sea captain built his seaside home—the Mooring.
After months at sea, this home must have been a welcoming retreat with its 19th century Italianate architecture, ten-foot ceilings, gleaming hardwood floors, and spacious porch.
Later purchased by seafood merchant Theophilus Baker, the Mooring was an inviting and gracious architectural cornerstone of the community..
