Detailed description is Raising Funds and Awareness in the Fight Agains ALS Larry Hughes grew up in Burnsville, NC with his parents and two older brothers.
He went to Western Carolina University and then into the accounting field where he built a successful 40 year career, retiring as the Managing Partner of Healthcare at Dixon Hughes Goodman in 2013.
Well known and well loved in his field Larry has truly left a legacy.
If you know Larry, you know that in retirement he is as busy as ever.
He is pursuing his passion of knowledge and for God by pursuing a Masters of Arts in Practical Theology at Pfeiffer University and loves his new position in the office of the COO at Samaritans Purse where he is able to serve and give back.
Larry is happily married to his wonderful wife of 20 years, Kim; Son – Johnathan & wife Tammy; daughter – Sarah; 2 stepsons – Josh & wife Ashley, Brett & wife Wendy; 6 grandkids – ages 4 to 10.

Surrounded by his family and friends Larry is also now battling ALS.
His passion and drive have left a lasting impact on us all.
It is our great privilege to join him in this battle.
