The band's second album "Rebuild," produced by Johnny K (Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Megadeth) and former RED guitarist Jasen Rauch (RED, Disciple, Fireflight) and mixed by Jay Ruston (Stone Sour, Pop Evil) and David Bendeth (Papa Roach, Paramore, Breaking Benjamin) was released on November 11th , 2013. "The first time around, we were new and it was all brand new to us," says vocalist Sarah Anthony. "We weren't really sure what we were doing and it was a whole new experience. This time around, we were able to settle in, be more comfortable, and focus on writing songs we like, honing in on what we wanted to say.". . The Uniontown, PA natives (currently comprised of vocalist Sarah Anthony, guitarist Mark Anthony, bassist Matt Beal and drummer Justin Brown) burst onto the alternative rock landscape with 2010's "Hanging On By A Thread" - now one of label Tooth & Nail’s top selling debuts in recent memory. . . "The last record was all about the healing process and being at rock bottom," recalls Sarah. "We called this record 'Rebuild' because it’s all about being on the up and up from where you were. It talks about conquering things that have been hurdles in your life and just overcoming. Our whole goal as a band is to give people hope.". . Weathering the challenge of meeting expectations, the band transitions seamlessly from song to song, creating a diverse and introspective journey for listeners. The heart-pounding track "Branded," indicts judgmental personalities and shines light on falsehoods that have been brought upon the members as well as the band itself. The bone-rattling opening number, "Sick Charade", stems from interactions with hypocrites. The song speaks to people being led astray by hypocrisy and challenges listeners to fervently keep their eyes open when evaluating movements and leaders to follow. . . The album is full of energy-infused, hard-hitting compositions tailored to be showcased in the band's live show and sure to become pillars of their catalog. "I can't wait to start doing songs like ‘Devil On Your Back’ live because they're going to be so high energy and fun," says Sarah. Guitarist and husband Mark notes of the musical approach, "We did more guitar work on this record than ever before. I'm a huge riff guy, so for me this record was fun because we really got to dive back into the music that we loved: Alice In Chains, Stone Temple Pilots, Guns N’ Roses, Metallica.". . While the band shines in the rock realm, they show their true depth on tracks like the anthemic “Pain Killer”, "Outside Looking In" and “Found”.. . The Letter Black is ready to solidify their legacy in 2013. Their explosive live show has attracted followers of Skillet, Sick Puppies, P.O.D. and Sevendust. The band has amassed a loyal following in recent years that are hungry for new songs, and those fans can expect more relentless touring in the coming months. "We have very loyal fans," notes Mark. Sarah adds, "They’ve been ready for new music for a while, so we're excited that we're getting this out.". .
