The Lake House Retreat is an all-inclusive women's retreat for quilters, crafters, and hobbyist of all kinds or a girlfriends' getaway, located in central Illinois on picturesque Pana Lake near the city of Pana.. We also offer one day classes, workshops and events on a variety of subjects including but not limited to quilting, scrapbooking, painting, drawing, and other crafts.. Our overnight Retreat Packages require a minimum two night stay with a minimum group of size of 4. (max. 7) and include all meals, snacks, and nonalcoholic beverages. . A one night stay is available when booked in conjunction with a one day class or event.. Accommodations are double occupancy.. Discuss any special needs before making reservations.. We are located about an hour from Springfield, 1.5 hours from Bloomington, an hour from Effingham, within a few hours from anywhere in the state and most surrounding states.. . From Shelbyville on Rt 16 West, turn left at N 2600 E Rd at the Rose Bud Cafe and Pana Bait.. ~Then continue on N 2600 E Rd to stop sign, turn left onto E 250 N Rd (which is also 6th St coming from Pana) at N 2625 E Rd, turn right, follow this road which turns into E 200 N Rd and then into N 2700 E to water plant.
