The Department of English, The Bhawanipur Education Society College takes immense delight in acquainting its students with Shakespeare through the regular university curriculum but also feels it necessary to help them understand that Shakespeare is not simply meant to be read, but to be performed.
With this in mind, the department feels that restricting Shakespeare studies to the classroom would essentially neglect a significant proportion of material necessary for the proper understanding of how to appreciate staging and performance of Shakespearean plays..
